As a member of our Princess Series, the Maia features a solid mango top and laminate rosewood back and sides. It also includes a gloss black headstock, scalloped cutaway, and binding. You will love both the appearance and sound of the combination of mango and rosewood, and players will love the satin neck. While the Maia could be thought of as a small tenor guitar, it is designed for standard baritone tuning (DGBE), which is known as Chicago Tuning for a Tenor Guitar. With its steel strings and acoustic body, the Maia offers a sound that is different from any other ukulele in Flight’s catalog: the sound is bright and dynamic. While the Maia is naturally a loud ukulele, it also includes an active Double C1U pickup if it needs to be amplified or recorded. Are you ready to try a new experience in the world of ukulele? If so, the Maia is for you!

These are tuned like regular baritones, DGBE.

Specs:

Size: Baritone

Top: Solid Mango

Back & Sides: Rosewood Body

Neck: African Mahogany

Bridge: Rosewood

Fingerboard: Rosewood

Binding: Black

Nut & Saddle: Bone

Tuners: Black/Gold

Overall Length: 30"

Width: 9"

Depth: 3"

Strings: Steel Guages 30w,23w,15,11

Electronics: Active Under Saddle Pickup w/Volume and Tone Controls

Strap Button: Yes, the input jack is the bottom strap button

Case: Flight Carrying Bag

FREE SHIPPING (Continental U.S.)

FREE FULL SET-UP for optimal playability

If it says "In Stock" then the actual uke you'd be receiving is pictured

International buyers please be aware that import duties, taxes and other fees are not included in the shipping cost.
