Very cool little soprano from The G String Ukulele Co out of Hawaii. This uke has a really nice sound with amazing projection. It does have a hairline crack that is barely visible down the middle on the top. It's been glued so it's super solid and ready for many years of playing. Maker: Founded by Derek Shimizu in Hawaii, G String Ukulele Co became one of the top Hawaiian ukulele brands of the late 1990s and 2000s.
Location: The commercial shop operated in the Halawa Valley from 1997 to 2009 before moving to Hilo and later Las Vegas.
Materials: Standard soprano models from this period feature solid Hawaiian koa bodies (often nicely bookmatched), mahogany necks, and rosewood fingerboards and bridges.
