Alvarez Grateful Dead Concert Ukulele - Limited Edition

Regular price $129.00 $0.00

This cool little concert ukulele is full of good vibes. It's very lightweight and produces a very warm and lively tone. You don't even have to be a Dead fan to appreciate this beauty.

The Montage Ukulele celebrates the Grateful Dead’s 50th anniversary and especially made for all the Dead fans who bought the montage guitar released in 2015, should they wish to own the set. The art draws upon a collection of wonderful Grateful Dead imagery. The sound hole incorporates the legendary Steal Your Face logo, originally designed by Owsley Stanley and Bob Thomas for the Steal Your Face (1976) album cover. A portrait o Bertha and her iconic roses also peers at us from behind the edges of the top, an iteration that first appeared on the band’s self titled album Grateful Dead (1971), designed by Alton Kelley. The words “50 Years” are flanked by bold and familiar logos of the “Good Ol Grateful Dead” and a classic Dancing Bear. The Montage beautifully captures 50 years of the Grateful Dead’s iconic artwork, and is not only inspiring to look at, but inspiring to play as well.

*All of our ukuleles are inspected and adjusted before they are sent out. Our goal is to provide you with a ukulele that is set up for optimal playability on arrival. Our facility is meticulously humidified to maintain the optimal humidity % for ukuleles to thrive in. We also deal with manufacturers that take pride in their work, most of them set up and inspect all of the ukes before they send them to us so there is usually not much to do to them. However, climates change and things happen which is why we look at every uke that gets sent out. Some of the things we check for are:

Level frets, smooth fret ends, optimal string height at the 3rd and 12th fret, nut and saddle heights, conditioning of the fretboard, functionality of electronics and tuner (if applicable), tuning key tightness, buzzes on the neck, overall cosmetic appearance. As always, we don't send anything out that we wouldn't want to play ourselves. Aloha !!

All Aloha City Ukes are inspected, conditioned, polished and set up as necessary.  Most of our manufacturers inspect the ukes and set them up before we get them, however if they need extra attention from changes in climate or anything else,  we always address it before it goes out. We can also add a strap button for an additional $8.00 or do a Low G string conversion for $5.00. As always, I don't send anything out that I wouldn't want to play myself. Aloha !!
