Vintage Regal "Red Head" Wendall Hall Mahogany Soprano Ukulele w/Case - 1925
Vintage Regal "Red Head" Wendall Hall signature soprano ukulele made in Chicago in 1925. It has a flamed mahogany body with a poplar neck and bridge. It's in all original condition with the original wooden tuning keys and original case. Like most 100 year old ukes it does have a couple of cracks in it, but it's still structurally sound and can certainly be played for many years to come. As you can see by the fretboard and back of the neck somebody played it quite a bit at some point in its life.
Wendell Hall was an entertainer who came to the forefront in the 1920s and was also a pretty good songwriter as well. A famed uke player, he endorsed a line of Regal ukes which were very similar to their more typical koa-bodied ukes of the time.
