Kiwaya U-Trip 02 Mahogany Pineapple Sopranino Ukulele w/Case - Mini Soprano

This is a small scale sopranino uke from the Japanese company Kiwaya. This is part of their student series, which offers more economical choices, including this pineapple body shaped instrument.

Kiwayas have long been famous for their lightweight, responsive laminate ukes, and this mahogany sopranino displays a liveliness that many a laminate ukulele would be envious of. It produces an impressive, bright tone, with much more volume than the small body would suggest. With the pineapple body, there’s a bit more fullness then a standard sopranino uke, but certainly, it’s character is predominantly bright, bubbly and zesty in tone.
