Sparrow Cocobolo Custom Steel String Tenor Ukulele w/Case - Pre Loved

This is a very cool pre-loved steel string tenor from Sparrow Ukulele. This made in the USA beauty sounds amazing plugged in. You can still hear it unplugged, but it really shines when plugged in. It's also a good practice uke if you want to play quietly unplugged. It's in excellent condition with just some strum marks on the pickguard.

The pickup is hand built and wound in-house to our specs!  The Alnico V magnets yield a rich and touch sensitive tone and exceptional clarity.  This model sports a “humbucker” which provides noise free operation and thick, juicy tone.  

The body is designed for ergonomics and comfort.  The cutaway allows for easy access to the highest frets and the arm lean on the top ensures maximum comfort.  The belly cut on the back makes this electric ukulele perfectly suited for standing or seated performance.

All Sparrow ukuleles are strung with our custom selected set of GHS strings to ensure the perfect balance of feel, playability, ergonomics, tone and intonation.  This uke comes standard with Low G tuning. The action is low and light and this uke will come out of the box set up and ready to shred!

Woods:  Cocobolo Top, Mahogany body, and Cherry neck.  Richlite fingerboard and Walnut bobbins

Strings:  Gcea (Low G) GHS flat wound custom set: .032, .024, .016, .012.   

The humbucking pickup is custom wound in house to provide a warm, rich and snappy tone. This pickup sports Alnico 5 magnets and 42 gauge wire providing a touch sensitive playing experience with tons of sonic nuance! The controls are volume and tone, but pulling out on the tone knob deactivates half of the humbucker pickup and engages the “coil split” function. In split mode, the uke is capable of glassy, crystal clear clean tones common to a single coil pickup. You won’t find this versatility on any other uke!

Truss Rod:   Two-way adjustable truss rod.

Tuning:  GCEA

Fretboard Radius: Flat (no radius)

Bridge:  We use individual string saddles to allow for optimum string spacing for the best feel and performance. The bridge saddles have individually adjustable intonation screws as well as standard height adjustment.

Nut:  The nut is hand-carved out of bone. 

Tuners: 15:1 ratio geared tuners.
